Behind the Movement
Grace Fabio
Grace Fabio began dancing at the age of three at Yackel Dance Studio in Woodbury, Minnesota. She trained extensively in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and hip-hop, earning numerous regional and national titles throughout her competitive career.
Grace quickly developed a passion for teaching and choreography and has since created award-winning solos, duets, trios, and group routines for competitive studios, high school dance teams, and collegiate dance programs across the country. Her choreography has received numerous choreography awards and recognition at regional and national competitions.
She earned her degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Athletic Healthcare from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she was a member of the nationally ranked University of Wisconsin Dance Team. During her four years on the team, she performed at community events, bowl games, conference tournaments, UDA College Nationals, and was featured in nationally broadcast commercials and athletic events. Grace also holds a Pilates Mat Certification, which she integrates with her academic background and extensive dance training to help students better understand movement mechanics, injury prevention, strength, and physical conditioning.
Now based in New York City, Grace teaches and choreographs throughout the United States. She currently travels nationwide as convention faculty with Axiom Dance Convention and also serves as a judge for Legacy Dance Competition. Passionate about education and lifelong learning, she is committed to developing technically strong, confident, and well-rounded dancers while making a meaningful impact within the dance community.
